martyn wright
Hi! Is the " Carpet Retainer(Chrome) 704987 the piece of Chrome that fits in between the door pillars to hold the Carpet in place? If so I have one used, but will require 2 x New? Martyn Yes 2 number needed (1 per side) They are actually polished aluminium, fitted with Countersunk self tappers into the top of the inner sill/floor pan, about 6 per screws per retainer Regards Gary

I will order them to go with my New carpet when I finish off the bits and bobs! was hoping to finish the Total Resto 6 months ago but due to illness?? At least my 1600/6 is up and running since 1985!

GFL
I managed to pick up some N.O.S. ones for mine at one of the shows, I paid about £5 Each I think. The originals are pre-drilled with the fixing holes, they go up to and slightly cover the door seals if I remember correctly Gary

Works Spitfires
Yes we are the source for these in the trade, that's why we are cheapest! JK had to have a mile of extrusion done for these to make it economic. That was at least thirty years ago, talk about being in it for the long term. 2
