You are permitted to take exercise once a day and allowed to drive to a suitable place for a walk. No stipulation as to how long the drive or how short the walk. 😉

... my problem eventually turned out to be the dreaded circlip failure on the gearbox mainshaft. I hope yours is an easier problem to resolve.

I believe that the club shop supplies the glass filter as recommended for use with ethanol, I bought one together with their rubber fuel pipe and hose clip replacement kit.

Awesome maybe I'll see your lovely gt6 at a meet! V cool car BTW, great colour (assuming the light blue one in your profile pic is yours!)
Yes, the Wedgewood Blue one is mine but you should see a selection of GT6's in several colours as well as Heralds, Vitesses, Stags, 2000s and TRs at The Raven, weather permitting.

Much cheaper and only a few miles down the road! Harry Ferguson lived within twenty miles of me, and his early tractors are still very sought-after over here.
It's interesting to note that a deal with the Ferguson Tractor company by Sir John Black in 1945 was stated by him to be a means of raising funds to develop new cars, which would lead to the Triumph Motor Car Division... so buying one of those would literally be going back to our roots.
This one often turns up at our classic car pub meet evenings:

So just buy an old tractor and store it there! Simple!
I can remember an older generation of the family telling me about running out of petrol once and running the car on whiskey to get home...
