Steady on Pete, some of us still do that Condor moment in a GT6, 🎷 (closest I could find!) 😉

Will,
Welcome. If you look on the Club Homepage under 'Areas' there are the details for the thriving Devon mob. Even if you cannot make a meeting the contacts should prove useful for local advice and assistance.

Quite breezy outside, but they say no more than 70(ish) F 11 to 12.
Reported 122kts off the Isle of Wight, provisionally a new (unwanted) record for the UK.

Would love to help but not much better down here! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-hampshire-60435309
Wagger mentioned the storm in 1987; was at sea South of the Isle of Wight and charged East to a Mayday off Eastbourne. They cancelled it when we arrived so about turn and a gentle roll back overnight to Portsmouth to find one of the ship's boats had been torn out of it's davits.

Josef,
Bit cheeky but if you PM Pete and he goes ahead with the doors he may, if you ask nicely, get it closer to you!

Pete,
Will PM you his contact details and if he becomes stuck for space, although they are currently in a greenhouse, could always store them here, among the boat parts!

I am not selling stuff but this may help those hunting for bits and pieces. A former Naval chum who is into old lorries (!) has come across some Herald (1200 from the steering wheel) parts and rather them being 'disposed' of said I would spread the word. I have not viewed the parts, located near Chichester, but if there is anything you spot I can put you in touch.

ps Colin, I can always hang on to them if required to sort P&P!

And then when you ask somebody to take a photo they miss half the car, but it was sailing gathering at Lower Swanwick so expected nothing else

Port Solent, but the yachts hidden by the hedge and too many double yellow lines to make for a decent background

Actually it was Von Moltke, 19th Century Prussian commander. Clearly I spent too long on the staff of the Army Command and Staff college at Camberley!

Paul,
I have one that I used for my GT6 engine, and Land Rovers various, that I was just about to put on Gumtree. Sent you a PM.

Or they claim/you assume they do?

Support Pete and Colin's observations as I have a Triumphtune one picked up cheap at Stoneleigh years ago, and had to chamfer the front edge for my GT6. It is not just when you, carefully, first lower the bonnet but vibration when driving the car.

Do you pass the port to the right or left?
Busy doing this last night as a late stand-in Guest of Honour at the RNVRYC annual dinner. President removes stopper, others follow suit then past to left who pours his first, President has to wait to the end. Should always ask a lady to your left 'May I pour?' If Madeira also available this follows the port around. Woe betide the Midshipman who gets it wrong.

I would try a call to SpitBitz and the like; they tend not to list individual items when you 'search' http://www.spitbitz.co.uk/html/used_parts.html

Pete, I used the next size up last year to put the boat in to do repairs and paint when COVID lockdown closed the harbours. Worked fine and once the sun came out was surprisingly comfy to work in. Once the job was done I sold it on (Gumtree) for about £50 less than I paid for it. Dick

There used to be a company called T6 Fabrications who made them but not sure if they are still up and running

Standing back aghast at the affrontery of being constructive (😉 ) perhaps somebody on the Forum with time, experience of, and solutions to, this issue could volunteer to take the lead and pull together a grid of Baines numbers versus specific model usage. Useful to the whole TSSC/Triumph community.
