I had a 3.63 diff done by Marcus (GT6M), which has been good second time (the first was a "funny" one that he wasn't confident of and exchanged when it proved noisy).
Hello Roger
I have one off Marcus as well and it has done at least 5000 mile if not more and is quiet

Hello Mark
I bought one from these people about 2 years ago.
It sat a bit high at first but has settled now.
This how the car sits now with luggage and probably a full ish tank of petrol.(somewhere in Spain or Portugal!)

Hello All
I am with Peter James and have just taken out a multi car policy for the 4 year old modern 4 Triumphs and 3 Velocette motorcycles and it will be £600 a year.
But I will only pay for the modern now and the others will be added when they are due and I like the idea of all being with one company and only one phone number for breakdown(not going to happen) or accident (also not going to happen!)

Hello Martin
I have a set of those spare if you want them?
I bought them for my MK1 Vitesse but have upgraded the studs to 7/16" UNF(not happy with the 3/8" ones!)
We can come to some arrangement(a small gift to charity?)

Hello I found mine and I have a unit I removed from our Spitfire to fit megajolt then microsquirt.

That makes a lot of sense! Far easier than faffing about down by the bellhousing.
Hello Colin
To be honest you just have to slacken the nipple and it bleeds its self plus any air is in the vertical pipe not in the cylinder

Hello All
When I fitted a S/S flexible pipe to our Spitfire I left the rigid pipe on but fitted it to the bleed side and fitted a bleed nipple at the Master cylinder end now I can bleed the clutch from the engine bay.

Hello Grahame
If it was me I would syphon as much out as you can the fill it completey up with petrol .
Then maybe disconnect pipe to cabs and spin it over until you smell petrol reconnect then run it it may smoke a bit but not damage it

Hello All
I want to fit 3 point rear seat belts in our Vitesse convertible.
I know I need to make a strengthening frame behind the rear seat and have seen details of how to do it in the past(I think!) but can not find the details now!
So does anyone have the details and dimensions so I can make on please
Roger
ps the whole inside is stripped out at the moment so a good time to do it

I'm new to the club having just bought my first Vitesse Mk2 convertible, does anyone know if there's a suitable roll bar, I've been looking on the web but can not find any current suppliers?
Hello Rogues
I have one but it is a full one so rear would be unuseable.
I will find photos if you are interested

Hello All
I need to replace the cover on my Vitesse gearbox and I have seen various reports on this but I am confused as to which fits the best.
I have fitted one to my Spitfire 1500 but I can not remember who I bought it off.
So what is the general feelings on this Club shop? but it just says GT6, Herald and Spitfire ones?

Hello All
I use Mann W 916/1 on all the Triumphs and as Nick says you can get the for a £4 from ECP etc.
Roger
ps I they are good enough for the VW group and most moderns are 20,000 mile service intervals they should ok for Triumphs
But there is this idea that they are better at filtering after several thousand miles and should not be changed so often(Alan AKA Oldtucker was told this by a filter maker) I will try and find the information!

Hello Ian
What I mean is I have to reset the o/d switch ie off and on again.
What do you mean one input or two inputs?

If you're expecting it to auto-disengage on change from 3rd to 4th, I think that will only work on the TR / big saloon / Stag. That gearbox has the inhibitor switch operated by the actual selector fork and thus switches off mid-shift. The small car box doesn't do that.
Hello All
I have a home made logic box but I have to reset the o/drive switch to re engage.
I modified my gearbox so it drops out between 3rd & 4th.
I also added a second switch so I could get o/drive on 2nd as there is a big gap between 2nd & 3rd if you are loaded and climbing mountains passes
Roger
ps here is how

I have a 1979 Spitfire 1500. Looking for a stainless steel manifold + exhaust system that opens the exhaust out a little, sounds nice without being noisy, and doesn't look too boy racery. Can anyone make suggestions of setups they have tried? Thanks
Hello No Name
I have a 4 branch manifold going spare as I had to change mine when I fitted EFI
I have the wheel barrow type with a central silencer and do not find it noisy just sporty!

Hello Nick
Are you saying your hoses are 25 years old? or just the type you use?
25 years even for more modern stuff seems a long time? plus you drive hard at times!
still what do I know?

Hello Neil
This is what I used on a dashboard and steering wheel you can put on lots of coats fine sanding between coats and finish with the burnishing cream and you get a high gloss finish or semi gloss what ever you want and being 2 pack it is very hard wearing.
I think I used 2000 grade as last flatting paper
