  2. oil all good the box code is YC and it has a remote gear change so thinking early dolomite, checking engine number confirms it as a dolomite TC. going to give it a try now i have removed tunnel cover paul back from a quick run without cover 4th gear is quite others make the same noise as when in reverse which obviously is non synchro nice smooth gear change though. also found a note book saying the diff has been uprated , anyway back to the box rebuild replace ?only intend doing 30 miles a week in it paul

  17. looking for a full length sunroof to replace mine in a 12/50 ,the frame has rotted at the front on mine and runners rusted paul
  18. the way i see it you will have no cranking issues should start straight up. .although i can see no reason while your manual pump will not work, at least you should have it running again with the electric pump just make sure it is a low pressure type .out of curiosity l would leave the manual pump connected run the car then switch of the electric pump see what happens , obviously put a switch in line for the pump .
  19. just fit a electric pump problem solved , or problem shown air leaks bad joints .my opinion for what its worth
  20. just a thought you have probably have checked though not got a bad kink in the new pipe run
  21. as i said had same problem, would not suck through i connected my spare electric pump fuel came straight through connected pipe back to the manual pipe took a fair bit of cranking as the carbs had run dry .now working fine , you will need a charged good battery . but no point until you have fuel from the tank feed .
  22. think you should get the pump working first before looking for the other problem you may or may not have paul
  23. just a thought you have got a reasonable amount of fuel in the tank
  24. the problem i had getting no fuel from the tank air lock tried sucking nothing the electric pump worked straight away
