not sure on correct listing but , speedo not working just found snapped gearbox end , rerun a good spare to the speedo gave it a turn at the gearbox end but not moving seems stuck solid, obviously will snap if i connect up to the gearbox can the speedo drive seize at the speedo paul

thank you non member, yes you are correct i do know my triumphs/ past my test in 76 owned many from stags to heralds , back in the day we referred to cars with twin carbs as TC so sorry if i confused anyone paul

ok just got that jumpingfrog .maybe back to the good herald box , dont mind a challenge but have body work to do then a respray all i can do myself costs soon start spiralling though all i want is weekend car that runs and stops might even drive it until the box goes bang. had a marina van back in the day similar problem lasted a year in daily use terrible noise though . paul

think going to go for a 1300 3 rail as i have a 1500 3rail fitted , depending on it being a straight swop and what clurch parts i need if any paul

the box fitted is a 3 rail the 1300 for sale is a 3 rail paul

so is the clutch on the 1500 different pete, not worried about buying replacement so long as i can obtain all the parts needed

would a dolomite 1300 be a better option lot for sale would it bolt straight in better option than the herald 1200? paul

so did the early dolomite 1500 TC have the 3 rail box as standard , as most dolomite ones for sale seem to be single rail paul

had a look different fitment, probably need to change the hole front mechanism and the front section of the roof . paul

have a good 1200 herald box as said not going to doing that much mileage ,in fact have 2 good herald 1 from a 1966 other 1963 , how involved single rail loads for sale paul

thought about trying to make one, my worry was it would snap the locating pins as it did on my original

will do seems fine now just a bit brown pants time ,when i had to force it shut grips and rag before the sun done its work

no it is like a thumb turn type . the one on my original was like a lever handle , that snapped off leaving the metal pins inside it .

sun done the job working fine now it is a weathershields same as the one originally fitted think may be made by britax

i now know it is a 3 rail after removing the cover was told had a single rail conversion by seller paul
