  1. Also check your starter solenoid for leakage to ground.
  2. One of the funniest things I have seen was the local chapter of the hells angels entering a Morris competition in the city and using pick axe handles as the sticks.
  3. Windy gun is best, if not remove the starter and use a flywheel locking tool, a mini one should fit as the motors are similar then a socket with a big bar to get leverage. https://www.med-engineering.co.uk/products/flywheel-tool
  4. While you are there have you thought about a high level brake light, most modern cars tower above the GT and the light is more visible.
  5. Silly idea in the first place, just by pass the relay.
  6. There's usually a mark just below the stopper, put the needle to this then lift it CW over the stop rest, easy.
  7. And this. smiths gauges repair.pdf
  8. The blue thing is proabaly a capacitor.
  9. This lot https://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/crimp-terminals-connectors.htmll
  10. Best ditch the optic luminiation before it ditches you, I've had 2 fail and would never use their products again. RR
  11. It's because they changed the head to a TR6 one, so domed pistons to bring the CR back up. David Vessey is your man for engines, did a good job on mine. https://www.vessey-classic-car-services.co.uk/
  12. It's a GT6 MK3, domed pistons, it is an interference design. When mine went bang it needed a new block. RR
  13. Think you have moved the magnetic pick up cup in the speedo, I had a similar thing a few years ago. Take the speedo apart and use a bit of the old cable in a drill to run it up, you will see if it's rubbing. RR
