Andrew
Hello all My 1971 herald 13/60 with steel wheels and hub caps questions A) were the hub caps plain as standard were they standard with the triumph globe badge in the middle C) what would you advise keep the hubcaps plain with no badge or purchase four globes for the centre of my hub caps, I am trying to keep the car as original as possible Regards Andrew
Casper
Plain as standard. If you are buying note that some new pattern ones have a curved section and just don't look right. C.

GFL
The Globe badged ones are I believe off a Mk1 Triumph 2000. The 13/60 Models should have outer Trims as well as the hub caps I reckon, or where these an optional extra?
AndyTV8
i'm 95% sure the 13/60 should have both hubcaps and outer trims ......... Andy
Andrew
Yes you are right on the outer trims they were standard but I have also been in formed by a old guy I know that the rims were standard with holes in but an option extra with the long slits in does anybody confirm my information Andrew
Pete Lewis
surely it was slots for herald and vitesse holes for later spitfire , GT6 just a idea Pete
mishmosh
holes were mk IV /1500/ gt6 mk3. Early herald and late both slots. My 1200 has had trims since I bought it in 85. A common upgrade.
67Spit
Slots were early Vitesse & GT6 MK1 & 2, but as Mk1/2/3 Spits came with no rims, slots were offered as an optional extra - a popular upgrade, as was upgrading to "globe" hubcaps. I had a 1971 Herald 13/60 with round-holed rims and plain hubcaps, which was the correct combination as it left the factory. There is a very good supplier on Ebay who has reproduction hubcaps with the correct dimensions. I bought my hubcaps from him - they were NOS Stanpart items, still in the box, he used them as a template for his repros. You can see them on my Avatar/Profile etc. Can't remember his Ebay ID, sorry.
