Pete Lewis
thats good just trying to whittle down some clues the dyno 20% difference is the key do both grooved discs have the grooves facing the same direction of rotaion ??? and grooved discs and yellow pads are not my cup of tea , its a must have that gives you headaches as you have found Pete

Colin Lindsay
Try a different right-hand caliper? Might be something not right, blocked pipe or poorly honed or constructed body.
johny
The other possibility is that the pads arent fully bedded yet. One of my calipers takes a while before the pads are making full contact with the disc and it must be slight misalignment of the caliper carrier or the caliper itself, Until it does work using the complete pad surface area its obviously not as effective as the other side which beds amost straight away and of course swopping pads over wont help. You can however easily check for this problem by inspecting the pads....
