norwaybike
The bracket in the picture sits on the side and behind the teillights on both sides of the truck in my 1968 GT6. I don't quite see what it's for? Can anybody help me?
Dick Twitchen
Good morning to Norway from a very wet South Coast! It is the 'spring bar' that the quarter bumper/over rider attaches to in order to provide some strength rather than just bolting to the body work. norwaybike
Thank you for the quick response! At my place in Norway we have 50 cm of snow... Should something have been screwed/attached into the hole on the angled end? Or is it there without any mission? Frode
Colin Lindsay
I think yours is Mk2? The GT6 Mk1 had upright overriders which bolted to this bracket - see photo of where mine was - but the Mk2 doesn't have the overriders, just the bumper, so I suppose it's not needed in those models. DanMi
Yes overrider bracket. There should be a metal tube and a long bolt which hold the top of the rear overrider on the low bumper cars https://www.canleyclassics.com/?catalogue=triumph-gt6-mki/ii&diagram=triumph-gt6-mki/ii-bumpers-mki
