2 pack or Base coat and Lacquer

Just about to paint my mk3 gt6 in its original colour of Mimosa yellow. Would like opinions on which way to go as she is being restored to enter and hopefully win shows.

Do I go with the 2 pack as the colour is a solid or do I go with a base coat and then Lacquer.

Will not be doing her in cellulose before anyone suggests even though that would of been as per original.

Thanks

Triumph Mimosa yellow, winner of the most fadeable paint award 1973!  Had my car re-painted 20 years ago, original Mimosa yellow had faded to post-it-note yellow to the extent that the garage phoned me up in a panic, certain I had told them the wrong colour. Yes, don't go for original cellulose. 2 pack, 20 years later my paint is still Mimosa, rattle cans from the club shop are still an identical match to the re-spray.
