Darren Groves
Is a D-Type Overdive on an MGB or any other car for that matter the same as those fitted to a Triumph? Clearly the adaptor plate will be different, but how about the actual OD Unit?
Clive
My understanding is that it probably will, but never underestimate the way casings etc may have been "customised" for a particular car manufacturer. Also watch out for the output flange not being correctly drilled for your application, But that is simple to re-drill at home.
Pete Lewis
http://www.odspares.com/phdi/p1.nsf/supppages/odspares?opendocument&part=5 http://www.overdrive-repairs.co.uk/contact.php quick call to od spares or overdrive repairs will solve this but keep to d types from similar engine sizes as the hydraulics change on higer outputs mg used the D type on a 3 synchro box later used LH Dtype and J type also common on Rootes and Bmc etc. pete
