Leaving the spare wheel behind.

My '11 Citroen has tyre pressure sensors, so last year I bought a set of "TyrePal" sensors for the trailer.     Never had a problem with this trailer, but did  with previous ones, on two occasions leading to wheel loss!

The TyrePals are like valve caps, with little locking nuts.    They seemed to have needed to 'bed in' as initially I had multiple warnings, for minimal/no pressure change, but after that they have worked well.   My only beef is that the alarm unit, that is glued to the windscreen and runs on sunlight (!) doesn't show which tyre is down.      There is an LED in the 'valve cap' that flashes to show it's alarming, but that is invisible in daylight, so you need to kick the tyres, make a guess and chek the pressures until you find it.

On the plus side,  while the caps have internal, non-replaceable batteries, and two went flat during the year, when I complained to TP,  they sent me a new set, FoC!      And, there is a new version out that shows the pressure in each tyre, so no need to kick and measure.   I'm tempted to get one!
