Herald 13/60 front wings

I've read the posts on the problems in fitting 13/60 wings to Vitesses. 

Are the replacement panels any easier to fit to a 13/60 bonnet? In particular the curvature.

The bonnet I have is not too badly corroded, but I was considering replacing the wings because of horrendous mismatch between the wing and door profiles. Looking from the front of the car, you can clearly see the door hinges!!

Only built a Vitesse bonnet, not a good fit round the smaller headlights. Check the back edge curve matches the door and the top of the reinforcing needs stepping in so the wing steps out to match the door.

Thanks Paul, but I don't get it  

If I step the reinforcement, wont there b a step between the bonnet top and the wing?

Or is that the point?

I'm looking at a bonnet that been repaired before, so I don't have any reference as to what's 'right'

The step is the seam the chrome strip lies on / in.

Last 13/60 I worked on, the body shop welded wings flush to the bonnet top, and then had to cut them off and reweld with a step.

On the one I done last year, it was a 1200 with Stanpart NOS wings and even they didn't match the curvature of the doors. So you just have to use a bit of manhandling to get into shape....
