PeaTear Posted January 20, 2019 Report Share Posted January 20, 2019 I was fitting new heater hoses to the spitfire when I noticed a loose cable, it may have been disconnected for a while or I might have disturbed it but could someone please shed some light as to what it's for and where it's correct home is. NonMember Posted January 20, 2019 Report Share Posted January 20, 2019 That looks like it's been disconnected for a while. If it connects to that grey cylinder then I suspect it's a supplementary capacitor for reduction of radio interference. It should connect to the coil +ve terminal, although some people think it should be on the -ve to "beef up" the condenser in the disi. It's not original equipment and can safely be left unconnected.
