Martie
Evening all, I’ve just got myself a new radiator for a MK2 GT6 and the mounting holes don’t line up with those on the chassis. The spoke with the supplier today and they said it’s for a GT6 and said he didn’t think they varied in width between the different marks so I’m theory the rad should fit Mk1-mk3. Is this right? Thank you
johny
yes looks like theres only one for all models except for USA models after KF10001 when theres another part number but I dont know whats different about it. Yours isnt from the States by any chance is it?
Dick Twitchen
Had exactly the same issue a couple of years ago with a Heritage Approved (whatever that is supposed to mean) radiator from a reputable supplier. The solution was to re-drill/open out the holes on the mounting plates to match the chassis.
Clive
The mounting holes should all be the same. How far out are the holes? (Ah, Dick has snuck in ahead of me!) But the "fault" is likely to be with the new radiator not being correct. This sort of thing is irritatingly common.
Martie
Yeah I have come across in the past, I just wanted to check before I either sent it back or widened the holes as Dick said. Being inpatient I’ll probably adjust the holes.
