Vitesse 1600/6 - Front Number Plate Brackets

All of mine have been the same; two screws or bolts through the front valence, bar one - I had an early 948 with a curved valence, it had no radiator bulge as in the photo above, and so the number plate would have been at an angle; this one had two metal brackets on the back of the numberplate which were angled at the top to allow the numberplate to sit at a more vertical angle. I managed to find a pair of similar - they look like paint scraper blades so now I'm wondering if £2 bought me a pair of those in the local Poundshop...  and a little bit of bending and drilling... :)

Just as an update - I found these very nice stainless brackets, very cheap for a fiver... same principle: screw them to the valence to lower the number plate and keep it off the paintwork.
