Petrol tank Truimph 2000 ??

Hi I am taking my tank out to clean out all the old crud and fuel out question is on the bottom where the drain pipe is is there a seal to renew ???

Don't think there is any seal round the tank exit. Don't remember any on my cars.

what drain pipe ???? 

i only have the pump pipe union, and thats in the boot  Mk2 saloon

Sorry Pete I meant the pipe at the bottom of the tank with the bend in it that feeds the carbs

aha thats better 

cant get at mine with all the trim in place but the only seal is the grommet for the supply line to disappear thro' the floor

All sorted there is a brass elbow out of the bottom of the tank that unscrews 

Took the tank out cleaned it with a Bilt garner kit then reinstalled it but put some PTFE tape round the thread when I reinstalled  the pipe all sorted
