hillclimber888 Posted June 1, 2021 Report Posted June 1, 2021 I am rebuilding a 1970 Triumph Vitesse Mk2 Saloon for hill climbing and sprinting. Body shell and chassis were sent away to be completely rebuilt. Drivers floor pan was replaced, so I have lost any reference point as to where two accelerator mounting holes go. Do you have, have access to, or know where I might be able to find a photo that shows where the mounting holes are in relation to the channels or even some dimensions. The internet doesn't have a clear photo. My photo shows my current best guess - but it could be +/- 1/2" in any direction! Any help or suggestions gratefully received
68vitesse Posted June 1, 2021 Report Posted June 1, 2021 When I did my Mk1 Vitesse I fitted the accelerator as far to the right as possible to get maximum clearence from the brake pedal. Regards Paul
Colin Lindsay Posted June 2, 2021 Report Posted June 2, 2021 Hopefully you got the e-mail I sent last night showing the holes from underneath; going by the two you've marked in red, the lower one ie closest to the camera in your photo is where I would put the first / furthest away screw, so the next hole would be closer to the camera. I'll repost the photo I sent just in case.
hillclimber888 Posted June 2, 2021 Author Report Posted June 2, 2021 Thanks for the photos. I feel a lot more confident about my positioning now. I assume that pattern replacement floor pans have ridges in very similar places to the orginals. Alistair
hillclimber888 Posted June 5, 2021 Author Report Posted June 5, 2021 Thanks for help. Now bolted in place. Alistair 1
