iana
Decided to give the air filter box a tidy up, the breather pipe connector is in poor condition and needs replacing, my idea is to get a length of steel or alloy tube and fix in place with jb weld - has anyone got a better suggestion
dougbgt6
I have the standard corrugated pipe, but not good for air flow, Uncle Pete went to the tropical fish shop and got smooth aquarium pipe. Cheaper, more efficient and pretty colours. Or do you mean the actual filter box connection needs repair? Doug
daverclasper
Aside from welding, I don't. Maybe a snug to the tube, wide washer on the inside of box to make a stronger fix with the JB (even one on the outside as well?)
iana
yes its the filter box connection, theres about 10mm left of the connection pipe but its flimsey and in fairly poor nick, like the idea of the washer as a bit of reinforcement
