paul fosh
hi having slight problem wiring the regulator on my 1965 equipe , the car came in bits so no markings on the loom . bit stuck have black/ 2 yellows / 2 browns / 2 brown and blue /yellow and green/ then 2 white. just the 2 whites not sure about / only number i can find on the regulator are RB1062/ help please paul
Josef
Well white probably doesn’t go to the regulator. White is an ignition switched feed (providing this is a standard loom, and Bond followed the usual colour codes of the period which is likely the case). I’d guess they’re for the starter solenoid and / or coil feed?
Stratton Jimmer
If you google search for RB106 you willl find the /2 variant too.
paul fosh
ok the white wires where taped together with the regulator ones about 6in long, not coil have the ignition wired it turns over and fires , strange .
Josef
Where does your flasher unit mount? On the 13/60 that’s above the voltage regulator and takes a white switched feed for power. Assuming the Equipe uses something close to the Herald loom?
paul fosh
you could just be right think that may be it. just had a quick look looks like 2 black wires for flasher unit but 3 terminals so looks like problem solved , thank you josef
Colin Lindsay
RB106 is Herald-type of regulator and on that it's wired as follows: A1 brown blue x 2 A brown x 2 D yellow x 2 F yellow green x 1 E black x 1 So: no white but there's a double white to the flasher just above. no black to the flasher just light green / purple and light green brown. Hopefully that's close enough to the Bond setup to be of some help.
paul fosh
thank you colin that was it flasher unit , problem is the car came in boxes with a lot of wrong parts had a choice of 2 looms so went for the herald one based on the age of the car looks like that was the correct one . paul

Patrick Taylor
I think Bond used a standard loom -I've used the Vitesse/Herald Haynes manual wiring diagram on a 2-litre and 1300 Equipe for the last 30 years and never found anything different... paul fosh
the loom used was from a early herald few differences from the vitesse set up
