  1. This yank company has a lot of basic videos on their yootoob channel. It should be simple for the club to emulate with various items and add or update/upgrade as time goes on. It would be a really valuable resource. Head office could have a special section on....the web-site. These are a couple of examples. Yes they are America and some are a little lacking in the health and safety areas, but I have found some of them to be very useful. I must stress that I have no connection with this company in any way. I don't think that there is anything in them that can't be done at HQ...

  2. Clock has arrived. Taken a full week to get to me bl**dy Evr! (Ex Herpes!!). Just about to lodge a fleabay complaint as showing 'entered the system' for 4 days (yes I know about the rail stikes), when it turned up. Anyway. Lovely little thing looks the same as the one in the club shop at £108.00 (why so expensive, others are flogging them for £69) but only cost £20 plus carriage. Only thing with mine is that the flat button thingie is missing. Suits me as the stalk is still there to set the time, and now doesn't detract from the face. Just the job. Found a cutter in the garage and cut a slightly larger hole, 3mm deep and then cut the main hole through 52 mm dia. There was enough waggle in the drills so that it formed a very nice rebate and the clock fits nicely.

    More to follow.

  3. Sid - Welcome to the forum. I got loose lay carpets back in the 1980s. No money, no experience. Got the cheapest going. They are just starting to need replacement. I will probably get loose lay again, being a cheapskate, but mine are boring black. Try using the search function. 'Carpet' will give you loads of hits. You can sort them by date. Happy reading...you have come to the right place... don't be afraid to ask!!!

  4. Take your time, assume nothing, masking tape where you are going to measure (so you don't mark the hood/paintwork) and measure three times before you..punch, drill, rivet etc. Fit outside, hopefully in the sun as this softens/stretches the hood and aids everything. Tape around areas where you don't want glue in case it spreads too far or you spill some and cover everything inside..you will drop that tool, and that rivet will go down into the most inaccessible place...it is the law.

Oh...and....good luck. Time and patience are your friends, along with whoever is within earshot when you need help quickly!!!

  5. ...and, any damage to any other components, paintwork etc needs consideration. This could end up to be very expensive. I am not even sure if you shouldn't notify your own insurance company as a safeguard. Somewhere in my memory I remember that I was once told to tell them of any problems just in case it went pear sharped and you had to get legal involvement from them.  Probably overkill but just a thought.
