  1. changing the subject slightly -- i bought a cheap accuspark fan kit off ebay for my 13/60 and it also would not fit behind the radiator and the temp controller lasted 15 months and about 800 miles before it packed up so i will be buying a better quality kenlowe kit or similar in the hope it fits better and lasts longer. good luck.

  9. i have always used stp oil additive for donkeys years,it seems to make the oil stick to the engine parts and protects the bearings for the first few seconds after starting,I used to have a bedford van whose engines were notorious for knocking from the bearings on startup due to the slanted engine draining the oil from the filter and the stp stopped the knocking. cheers
  10. i fitted a pair of what were purported to be genuine woodhead monroe rear shocks to my 13/60 14 months ago and after only about 800 miles they have the resistance of a piece of elastic,i changed them for a new pair from moss for a third of the price and a much better ride and no clonks. i phoned the supplier (an ebay seller of classic car parts ) and the reply was the warranty was 12 months only so no refund. the shocks were labeled as woodhead and were the correct blue colour but are probably a chinese or indian copy. grrrr !
  11. i had this problem and found that one of the horns was faulty.disconnect one horn and see if the horn works from the horn push -if it does the other horn is faulty and vice versa.i took ages checking earths etc before i found the cure and replaced the faulty horn with one of fleabay.the other posisibility is a wiring connection fault between the two horns. good luck
  12. just a thought --the previous owner of my car painted the rubber bumpers with what looks like white smoothrite and it looks fine and has lasted well and just wipes clean. cheers
