I may be wrong but I think both ends are male so you'll need a female-female adaptor fir the nipple.
Iain
yes you're right but they are only a couple of quid each, the main thing is the line is the correct(or slightly longer) length.

i recently bought a braided clutch line for my GT6, i'm going to buy another and use it as a bleed line as it's basically the same length line just with a bleed nipple.
-
as far as i remember, in my gt6 it was over, as i remember thinking i'd have to put the wiring and heater box in first/second.

I recommend you use a piece of straight bar or better still angle to use as a support for the stamps so they are straight.
And of course practice on some scrap till you are happyActually my original plate is all over the place, nothing is lined up! but it's a good tip, cheers.

Hi all,
Just thinking about re doing the body numbers etc on new plates, what would be the correct size punch set to get?
or doesn't it really matter?

There's no need to bypass it. Electronic ignition works absolutely fine with ballasted coils, as long as you wire the EI supply to the right place. The only type that doesn't want it would be a programmed ignition with variable (closed loop) dwell, for which a quite specific coil is needed.
thanks for the extra info.

Thanks for the reply's, i'll start with the ballast and as Peter said , it can always be bypassed to fit an electronic ignition.

Ok, I know i'm going to open a can of worms here but it has to be asked.
GT6 mk3 1972
I'm starting out with all new wiring and electrical componants, so do i go with a Ballast Resistor or just a Resistance Wire loom...
Are there any advantages to either one? or dis-advantages?
cheers paul

thanks for all the reply's, i'll probably get my new loom from them. cheers paul

I assumed from the context that ludwig meant you could buy a standard loom from, say, Rimmers or Canley or Fitchetts, but if you want any customization you'd have to do it yourself (and thus spoil the brand new loom). Buying from Autosparks, you can specify modifications, which they will incorporate "to factory quality".
yep exactly what i meant NM

Hi,
Has anyone used Autosparks for a full wiring loom (gt6 mk3) and if so, how was it?
Is it worth going this route rather than just buying a loom off one of the usual suppliers as you can add circuits such as an accessory socket etc

I bought a new 150l Hyundai from ebay, that replaced an old 100l clarke, nice to have extra air in the tank.

Hi all,Can anyone give me some closeup shots of the part circled in the manual, as i seem to have lost mine when i cut them off the inner wheel arch......left and right hold the bar that goes across the top of the suspension hump. GT6 mk3. Or if anyone has a pair to sell, i'm interested. Cheers paul

ok, thanks people... i'll flip a coin 😎

Ok folks, i need a new bonnet because i don't actually have one at the moment and i'm nearly at the paint stage.
I'm sure people will have good and bad thoughts when it comes to fibreglass or steel bonnets... but i'd like to hear all the viewpoints.
Obvious ones are the price and weight but does the lighter unit effect the handling good/bad, and how does it effect the weight bias of the car?
cheers Paul

Many years ago when mucking about with motorbikes i realized that just because they spark doesn't mean the engine likes them.
I had a VFR400(NC30) which was very fickle about which plugs you put in, it really didn't like Nippon Denso(oem) but loved NGK's.
I've had similar experiances with 2 stroke engines.

If you think roundabouts are bad here in england, check out the one's recently introduced on the isle of man seafront, they look like roundels.

Extensive list of engine weights, here: https://www.gomog.com/allmorgan/engineweights.html
The six weighs 403lbs - 183Kgs
that's good reading john cheers.

thanks chaps, i'll hedge my bets and go with "just under 300kg" depending on what's still attached.
cheers paul

Hi all,
Has anyone got a reliable weight for the gt6 engine (without gearbox) i've done a search across the web and it comes in anywhere between 165-401 kg !
The reason i'm asking is i'm about to buy an engine stand and don't want something flimsy, as it will be on the stand for several months.
cheers paul

I don't think that strip is available anymore.
My car had been de-seamed but i've put the seam back when i repaired the front of the roof, i think it looks better.
The rust comes from the inside out, if repaired and sealed properly it won't rust.
