Spitfire Mk4

Just to say hello. I am a new member having just purchased a 1973 yellow Spitfire. The car has spent its life in Yorkshire but now lives in Southampton.

It has an interesting history and a note of appreciation to the previous owner for his sympathetic restoring of the car following its storage for the previous 20 years (and total of 500 miles in that time).

Would be interested to learn of a good mechanic/garage in the Portswood/Southampton area to help look after the car as required going forwards.

Hope to attend some TSSC meetings in due course.

yes get some clues from a local meeting The Triumph Sports Six Club - Areas (tssc.org.uk)

for general work much is very easy DIY with only a small set of tools  

and well worth the savings on labour charges for simple fixes  and you can ask away on here for any help 

a  good repro workshop manual ( suggest club shop or fleabay) is worthwhile

to add to your wish list for christmas

Thanks for your kind responses. Forums very useful and some real Triumph know-how in evidence.
