Leaf spring again.

OK, so I've stripped the spring down, had it sandblasted and painted, and reassembled it with new ( modified ) buttons and new shackle bolts from my local workshop.  Does anyone know if there is a recommended torque setting for the centre  dowel nut please. ?

not looked in the manuals but  there is  nothing special if its 5/16"  18/21  if its 3/8"  28/32 lbft    would work ok  

or just a spanner and hand tight   no gorilla  hands needed here

If using copper grease reduce by 10%

The shackles on my spring had bolts in a spacer tube, used stainless steel tube and bolts on rebuild.

Just hand tight; it just needs to hold the leaves together.
