Bonnet handle

I saw a facebook advert for a Herald.  It had what I figured was a unique handle in the middle of the bonnet.  I thought it was a great idea, and I wondered if it is a common thing to add.  I liked the idea of opening the hood nice and evenly without straining it by lifting it from one side.  Comments?  Opinions?  I might put one on my Vitesse!

That was a standard fitting on early Heralds.

Yes, not sure how useful it was as looks it could be a right back tweaker if youre of a certain age!

Handles are fairly easy to find, (well until you're looking for one!)

I think I have one lying about the garage somewhere but there's a chrome 'foot' that is always missing. You need the foot or else it won't fit the bonnet.

You will also have to modify the bright work strip in the centre of the Vitesse bonnet, cut or drill holes for the handle
