Dalek
Can someone tell whether this cross bar etc will fit a 1967 Mark 1 Vitesse? If not, what are the differences? I'm not sure the brackets on the top are in the right place. Thanks Edited March 25 by Dalek
johny
Its certainly got the radiator mounts of a Vitesse which I dont think the Heralds had as their rads were mounted further back...

Herald 13/60's had them, but didn't use them.

Colin Lindsay
Looks correct, bulges forward in the centre, small downward-pointing overrider brackets and the two large radiator mounting points.
t-stag
Similar to MkII Vitesse front cross bar, except I don't have the 2 upward facing brackets.
johny
Do you mean the two radiator mounts where the chassis rails meet the front bar t-stag? If so what does your radiator sit on or have you got a non standard set up?
t-stag
Doh! My chassis is currently upside down while I'm cleaning it. Of course the two radiator brackets are present on the top side.
JohnD
I had to replace mine after a ding at Thruxton. I found it was useful to make up a 'jig' from a pallet to support the 'new' part, and hold it at the right height and alignment while I welded it on. Use the dimensions quoted in the WSM to ensure it's on straight! Edited March 29 by JohnD
