haggis
Hi, anyone know the original position (photo would be amazing) of the overdrive relay on a Mk1 Gt6? just converted mine and was wondering where the relay might live. Thanks Hag
AidanT
Hi. When I had mine fitted the spot we found where there were hole in the bulk head with the correct spacing was by the side of the battery box. We were not sure if it was supposed to go on the inside or outside of the bulk head though. Will add a pic when I can
Pete Lewis
sounds the righ place but im more in favour of all these things being transfered to inside the cabin out of the exposed Pete
Colin Lindsay
Outside on the bulkhead, to the right of the battery box as you're looking at the car from the front. I can't photograph mine as I used a J-type which doesn't use a relay, but I remember it from my MK3.

gt6chris
On My mk2 gt6 the horn relay and the Overdrive relay were bolted back to back on a bracket on the bulkhead just to one side of the battery. http://www.gtsix.co.uk/images/rest/finished/FIN_11.jpg you can just see the relays under the flasher unit on this link to my website. haggis
Thanks everyone great response, I guessed it might go somewhere near the battery, I'm waiting for the loom so wasn't sure on length of cable. it would seem better in the cockpit somewhere as Pete has mentioned but not sure where the cables will reach. Thanks again. Hag
Pete Lewis
Would have thought As most of the installation is just single wires its easy enough to make up whatever you need from scratch I bought some very cheap crimp on terminals from the Range last week they have the pliers for a song as well, if you have astore near its worth a look pete
