Oil leak

However it all depends on where it is coming from... slight seepage is normal, large pools aren’t, and even small drips overnight can become worrying flows when warm or at speed…. make sure it’s not being blown out due to excess pressure, or pouring out due to a cracked or warped component. Clean the engine, then watch where it escapes from. Above all keep it topped up!

Had an oil leak on my MK2 GT6 engine a couple years ago, well more than one actually... at that time I did not have the breather pipe and unit on the car, I just bunged the breather pipe overboard.

I then read a post re the "negative pressure" required to keep the oil in the engine... I.E. no oil leaks !! or was it positive?

anyway I fitted the correct setup to the breather system and overnight the engine oil leaks were cured....... just got to work out how to stop the gearbox depositing a small do do on the garage floor.......
