Door window winder/open, shut door, catch handle springs (Vitesse)

Hi

 

The 2 (each door) conical springs that tension these. Are they fitted at the front (vinyl side) of door cards, or do they poke through some, from behind them.

 

Any help great please

put the conical spring  to be small end up against   the door spindle  and the wider end to the door card   , fit the card over the spring the larger end should  then remain behind it , then just a gentle push on the door card to get access between  the escutcheon  and handle to fit the pin

Just to semi hiyjack this topic. When I stripped the door card from my gt6 the spring had been fitted after the door card. So was this wrong and it should have been fitted before the door card?

The spring fits between the door carcass and the door card you fit the escuteon and handle,

and press the escuteon and card against the spring to access the retaining pin hole , fit the pin

and the spring presses the door card back and escuteon back over the handle to keep the pin secured.

I'd never had those springs on mine so I bought some from one of the usual suppliers. Damn things were such a heavy gauge spring that I gave up with them! The retaining pins have never fallen out yet...

A wad of sponge foam can work just as well
