JohnD
I've just realised that Club Triumph, ever the "Club That Does" has organised a Coast-to-Coast Drive, from Anglesey Circuit to Southwold in Suffolk, overnight this Saturday/Sunday! To coincide with Drive-It day. What a great idea! Well done, CT! An addition which I hope will happen again to join your RBRR and 10CR runs as classic events! The route and details are at: https://club.triumph.org.uk/menu/18746/item/598361/view?messagepage=1#num3 John
Colin Lindsay
Isn't that Drive-it DAYS? it takes place over two.... I like the entry requirements: 'standard Triumph cars or derivatives made from major Triumph components'....

They may even allow the tvr which was fitted with the triumph 6 pot, but that may be pushing your luck. The even filled very quickly, I was tempted but got too much going on at the moment. However, have signed up for their Border Raiders event in August and the RBRR. I think the idea of the overnighter is avoids most traffic issues and is a good taster for the RBRR. Very do-able though.
thescrapman
And as soon as you finish at Southwold you can drive down to Essex for the first stage rally on the public highway in England. Viewing areas at Bradlfield and Aingers green. 120 cars varying from Mk2 Escorts via VW Beetles to the latest WRC cars from Ford and Citroen. No Triumphs though.. :-(
