ahebron
Does anyone know of a supplier of the piece of the bonnet that goes across the bottom for fixing of the grille on a Vitesse and probably Herald When I got my bonnet back from the body work guy had welded a piece of 90 degree folded body steel that was also straight from left to right of the car. I cut it out and now need to either get a piece made or buy one, I am assuming it has the same curve as at the top of the grill. It is a channel on its side with a curve which has the nuts to screw the grille to it I dont want to buy a complete panel as the rest of it is in good condition. daverclasper
Chic Doig, is probably the most likely place, they make some of the more obscure body parts, or I believe may make up a one off. Dave
Colin Lindsay
+1 for Chic, part number 612245 is hopefully the bit you mean.

I did send them an email, but have yet to hear back. Adrian

ahebron
I’d rather not from New Zealand that’s why I emailed them. I was wondering if as people knew a part number then there might be a catalogue somewhere. Adrian
Colin Lindsay
He can be slow to answer e-mail; like most restorers he's on the phone constantly or out in the workshop so keep trying or - next time I'm on the phone with him I'll ask him to check e-mails! BTW I got the part number from an old parts manual, not a current supplier.
ahebron
Thank you Colin. Does the collective know what the difference is between a Vitesse one and a 13/60? Could 13/60 part be used in place of the Vitesse one? Adrian
