One side has a slight crease, I don’t know whether it’s fixable or not, but PM me if interested.

Its a right pain to fit and probably why one has a crease and been given up on! Yes Mathew, it is. I didn’t know if I could post it here! I got it from rimmers thinking it will be easier to fit 😅 Gave up in the end and installed the original chrome trim.

Pete Lewis
you do need the spreader tool with some lube/soft soap to open the slot a nice hot day helps or some light work with a heat gun to keep the trim supple its a lot easier to fit with the screen out but that defies the idea is this locks the glass in place or a hard slam of the doors and the air pressure can pop the screen on the bonnet unfortunate but be it plastic /mylar/stainless its integral with holding the screen rubber in place a softer black rubber infill is much easier to insert but not so flash !!! Joanna K
I just hope I will never have to do it again 😂 I tried everything, watched every possible tutorial on youtube, but ended up with soap and water and trying to push it in with my tiny fingers. I have no idea how I managed to do it, but it looks ok. The screen was already installed. anyway, if someone would like to use this plastic trim, just let me know

Badwolf
Went up in the loft last week looking for Christmas decs and found my original windscreen metal trim. Wonder if I should bite the bullet and try to fit it. It's only been up there for 25 years.....well, maybe another year won't hurt it!!
Badwolf
Matthew - As you are aware, I have done very little this year due to other commitments along with the C-19 problems. Collecting things together to get going in the New Year so the quota of swear words will quickly get used up again.
Badwolf
Oh yes, that thing, now I wonder where I put it??
Badwolf
Not a chance of me beating you Matthew. If it's any use, I made a list (somewhere) of possible alternative hardtop rubbers from C.O.H. Boines. If you want, I will try to find it.
Badwolf
Will do, when I've finished catching up on your 'yellow peril' thread. Nearly there.
