The photo appeared in my FaceBook newsfeed because of my interest in preserved Avro Vulcan XH558. I believe it has appeared on several aircraft forums, one such post referred to it as:
"This is the piccy of the Vulcan (XM603?) en-route to Woodford from Chadderton. It is the railway bridge in Hazel Grove, between the Rising Sun and the Fiveways junction. It only just fits, and there were special street lamps that could be folded down to allow the Vulcans to pass."
I presume that this movement was during the original building of the Vulcan bombers, XM603 was built in 1963.
