Somewhat baffled by the negativity above. Anyway, I've completed the survey and written a series of (hopefully useful!) feedback comments in the final field. Positive to see the engagement.

My wife had an old Autolok left over from a 1990's Fiesta, but it was too long to use in the GT6. I went with a Disklok to cover the steering wheel. I occasionally fit it in a pub car park (when I can't see the car over my pint) and always at the sports centre. No illusions that it will serve as anything other than a deterrent to a casual / opportunistic thief - a professional will proceed regardless.

BT dug through my broadband lines recently (ironically, part of the high-speed roll-out!). My actual ISP is EE and it was with some trepidation I followed their text-based fault finding service (which I had to look up on 5G). However, it worked really well. A bot checked the lines, couldn't find a fault, so they arranged an appointment for someone to call me (within 15min), which they did. That person then arranged for the engineer to come out the next day, which they did and established the exact nature of the fault. It was sorted fully 48 hours later.
So not all message based systems are frustrating!
As an aside, I feel part of this is generational. Gen X and younger expect to use smartphones and websites for engagement - companies are happy to embrace this as it removes the need for expensive customer services teams explaining information readily available (in the company's view) via their website, but that approach excludes Mr/Mrs Miggins who have only ever used a computer with support in their library... Pre-Gen X people are likely to be more analogue and have a phone call as their first line of attack when a problem arises - they are not likely to be a satisfied with the current digital approach to customer services / interactions. As for doctors' surgeries, I feel it's all about £...

If I remember rightly, Peter L was assisting Tom from COM with this late last year? Not sure how much progress was made and it could well be that the new shop guru has taken on the challenge - maybe @Peter Lewis knows more? On the face of it, nothing has improved.
Personally, I don't use the Club Shop website - I'll check the annual catalogue prices and order by phone if there's something I want / need, or wait until I can collect from them at HQ or a show. That's driven by the state of the website (which is simply not fit for purpose). However, I buy far more via Canleys and Paddocks...
If the Club Shop is not going to follow the parts diagram approach favoured by Canley Classics and Rimmer Bros, they need to learn from the James Paddock website (which appears to be a similar platform to the Club Shop).

If a copy exists, surely converting it and uploading to YouTube would be straightforward. It can then be a resource for all - linked off the website and promoted to new members. However, I'm sure significant caveats are required in current times to avoid any liability falling on the Club should someone try to sue following using the advice (akin to the statements in The Courier accompanying Malcolm Huxtable's articles).

I carry a small powder extinguisher on the basis that an electrical fire is the most likely culprit with one of our cars and the only type of fire I'm likely to want to tackle - if liquids are involved under the bonnet, it's time to get clear and call the professionals / insurers!
Mine reclines on the floor behind the passenger seat - never moved around to my knowledge.
One point with extinguishers in cars - they should be serviced or replaced annually... I'm sure many buy and forget, then wonder why they don't work at the critical time 10 years later!

As someone involved in running a small club, I completely understand the decision. We had to take a similar one a few weeks ago as we were struggling to get sufficient support for what had previously been a very popular event. Our costs exposure was, I'm sure, much less than that faced by the various Clubs involved in this particular weekend, but could have proved equally ruinous if we'd proceeded with low participation and the situation had to be acted upon to protect the club's finances. 70% down on ticket sales is a huge red flag and suggests to me that people are using their freedoms this summer for other priorities.

Electronic stock systems seem to generate problems for multiple businesses - particularly those with a significant number of stores and stock held both in store and centrally warehoused. Clearly something has gone wrong in this instance, but does it warrant a keyboard warrior moment? No business gets it right all the time, so how they apologise and react is key, no matter how frustrating it can be. This matter remains unresolved, so surely the 'terrible service' headline is premature?
@Wagger - I'm with you on Trustpilot and all other review sites. Generally only filled in by people with a gripe, or people connected with the company. The general satisfied customer doesn't bother, so they are not a true reflect of the business.

When I rebuilt the Type 16 calipers on my GT6 I used stainless pistons as I'd read somewhere that the plating wasn't great on some replacement items available now. I thought the small premium was a price worth paying for not having to do the work again. A leak due to corrosion on the seal line was the cause of the re-build. One of my pet hates is having to re-do a job due to poor quality parts (eg. ball joint boots).

The light bracket on mine is located close to the trip reset, with both secured in place.

The full set of parts is shown in the parts manual on Plate S15 (06-05):
Bulb holder - 508139
Bracket - 627318
Bulb - GLB987
As Non-Member noted above, Plate T17(06-27) only has it shown as a LHD part, but above it's universal.

It takes a lot of shims to get to negative camber and they should be immediately obvious when looking at the lower wishbone mounts - is the top part of the suspension re-built correctly?

The ramps I have were great for the GT6 until I reduced the front camber - now the front of the car sits too low to use them without using some short sections of scaffold board as a run-in (essentially doing what the extensions pictured above achieve). The extensions are essential if you want to be able to reverse onto the ramps. However, I use a trolley jack and axle stands far more often.

I paid £2.05 / litre for BP Ultimate Unleaded yesterday on the way home from Bressingham... That was 9p up on regular unleaded.
It pays to check the material specification even when buying from a reputable supplier. It amazes me how many are still selling R6 as their 'ethanol' resistant fuel hose - I got caught out and have a coil of unused pipe sat in the shed. I subsequently bought from the Club Shop at last year's Duxford show to avoid paying postage.

I caught a relatively recent episode of Wheelers Dealers last night on Quest, where Ant was removing the $400 aftermarket air filter arrangement from a Porsche 996 and replacing it with a 2nd hand OEM part to move back to cold air intake as opposed to engine bay temperature. He estimated the aftermarket kit was costing 15% in power terms.
