  1. got mine in the post yesterday Très Bien
  2. its very easy to apply and cheap. sorted my modern as well, as i've been known to just get in my car and drive to paris.
  3. just thinking out loud here... tssc headquarters is pretty central, maybe a few/series of "how to" days over the course of the year could be organised. not only is the shop there but we might be able to shoot/do a writeup for the courier...? paul
  4. i did suggest this last year but it didn't happen. i would definitely attend . paul "I'm sure if the forum held a practical masterclass in these techniques we would all breath a sigh of relief as you can't beat seeing a skilled individual in action!"
  5. those ambient temp gauges are rare and go for over £200 on ebay, saw one the other week.
  6. def. the trip cable reset, mines also metal wound.
  7. i bought 3 b&q cheap ones for £7 each in a sale, each one has different discs etc. i also have a more powerful silverline but dont really use it as its bulkier and heavier.
  8. i have a full set of 5.5 steels to go on eventually but if i did alloys i would go with revolutions as you don't see them that often. i like minilites but there everywhere now. at the end of the day its personal taste.
  9. hi all, GT6 mk3 is there any problem with cutting the inner wheel wells and spring/diff tunnel out... in one hit... if the body it still bolted to the frame at the front ? or would i need to support the body underneath the main floor ? i will be replacing the inner(and outer) wheel wells and spring/diff tunnel but will also be re-welding the middle floor as well. all suggestions gratefully recived ! cheers paul
  10. hi all, does anyone know the thread size for a gt6 mk3 gear lever ? non-overdrive. cheers paul
  11. we ought to have a group run thru or you tube video of this procedure , i'm sure its very easy but there are always questions about it and its always easier to do once you've been shown the correct way ... paul
  12. stunning car and colour. i hope to see it in the flesh at some point. all the best paul
  13. pick any veneer you like and remember to use a clear grain filler, this will make it much easier to obtain a smooth finish. i'm just about to do mine, its not too difficult, just take your time.
  14. hi all, I picked up a 1972 mk3 in red, originally green(which it will go back to) the floors and sills have already been done which means I can crack on with other things before taking the body off. all the best paul
  15. like I said I may have missed a few panels but it was more of a thought rather than doing it. still I cant belive someone hasn't started doing this as people seem to change a lot of bodywork chasing rust, so a new body shell on a spit chassis(for me)would seem like a good option.....
  16. hi all, kind of thinking out loud here and I'm sure its been brought up before... but has anyone built a new bodyshell for a GT6 before? are there any jigs to do this around ? from what I can see every panel is available unless I've missed something. paul
  17. hi all, has anyone here tried the mikuni carb conversion on a gt6 ? I come from a bike racing background so I'm quite familiar with these carbs and happened to see a kit conversion on an American site. all the best paul
