1969Mk3Spitfire
This connects to the points on a Delco dizzie and I’d like to make a new lead from coil to points and condenser. Does anyone know it’s correct name as my guesses have yet to find it on google. Many thanks.

JohnD
On the condensor: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133487033921?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338749392&toolid=20006&customid=GB_131090_133487033921.136730267003~1658845790853-g_Cj0KCQjwntCVBhDdARIsAMEwACmACDGw2E6491KegX72oCfvLnac8OkydibdtNyh_QjhyyKkiqL5RbAaAqpOEALw_wcB JOhn
1969Mk3Spitfire
Thank you, both. The current arrangement includes a soldered joint and seems to be ok. However, I’m trying to eliminate any/all possible contributors to my misfire saga. If the manufacturers of condensers can buy and fit them, why can’t we, surely they must have a proper name and be available from somewhere 🤔

Colin Lindsay
Closest I've found is a 'fork tongue terminal' - man speak with fork tongue - as a crimp-on spade-type terminal. A fork terminal is straight with the two sides the same length; the tongue version curves so that one side is longer than the other and it connects at right-angles. I bought these for an ignition switch a while back: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114891260418?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=114891260418&targetid=293946777986&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9045192&poi=&campaignid=17116423086&mkgroupid=134652533165&rlsatarget=pla-293946777986&abcId=9300856&merchantid=119430497&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4NDWldHD-AIVh6Z3Ch31pgTAEAQYASABEgJ1tPD_BwE
1969Mk3Spitfire
Martin at Dizzy Doc tells me that it’s a Flag Terminal. I can find them with conventional spade ends but not open, as used on the Delco distributor. Urgh……….
Colin Lindsay
With that shape of end on it, it's called a locking fork. I've found dozens of very close versions on the Net, but nothing exactly the same. The closest to that shape was a spade connector which could at a pinch be drilled for the screw. Here's a handy guide I found, too, which puts a name to them all:
1969Mk3Spitfire
I’m wondering from where do the manufacturers of our condensers buy them? Someone must make them 🤷♂️
