johny
Just seen what looks to be the same model of PCV for sale on ebay from Turner.carbs and it says: these were used on the Triumph Spitfire MK 3 and TR250, they are pressed in and become part of the inlet manifold. Iain T
Probably the manifold junction has corroded or it's a different pcv? Neil, is there a lot of clearance between the manifold and pcv?
VixenPPP
Thanks again for your help gents. A pressed fit makes sense. I don't know what's happened. But at least the question has been answered. .....Neil

Iain T
Neil, I phoned the guy at Canley Classics who was very helpful (he solved my vibrating driveline problem over the phone where Jigsaw had the car three times and failed to sort it!). It might be he can help and he has a wealth of "stuff" out back! Iain
Firefly
Why not clean it all up, and "JB weld" or similar it in position, and make it part of the manifold so to speak. Its not something you need to remove to service?

I certainly wouldn't leave that gap for air to be sucked in. Iain
johny
I wonder if there isnt meant to be a steel ring embedded in the manifold hole that the PCV inserts into - this could be to stop the two alloy 'welding' together?
