Just came across a collection of older photos of Triumphs and other classics from the days before I had my own.

These will be from Stonleigh, in the early 2000s, probably 2002/2003. Heralds AFK648H (1200 Saloon), 320KHT (1200 Coupe), 943RTA (My photo title indicates it was an 'S', but it looks to be some type of aftermarket hardtop / Coupe thing so possibly there was some badge swapping / bits-ness going on here), XKP965A (1200 Estate). Durham Church street in 2007/2008. 13/60 missing the front number plate. My own 13/60 will've been about 5 mins walk away at this point!

Probably York Road car park in Guildford around the mid 2000s KAF108L (GT6 Mk3)

Finally a Stag MMY904P, again, mid 2000s. I'm pretty sure this will be outside the Stag garage in Abinger Hammer (Abinger Hammer Motors).

Josef - 943 RTA is possibly an early Coupe (before June 1960) with the smooth rather than ribbed sides to the roof. The glass in the side window with rear curvature  is correct for a coupe (& convertible).

Abinger hammer garage? Looks surprisingly similar to the place my sons and I dragged a very badly corroded Morris Minor out of . One Saturday morning. Back in the 80’s They spent a couple of weeks stripping it of anything usable As donor for the youngest’s Splitty. We eventually transplanted the 1000 Engine in place of 800. After which the scrap got the rest in small quantities. I had the chassis plate kicking about for years. Possibly still somewhere in th garage. Does that garage have a big clock on a bracket overhanging outside?

Well the DVLA have 943RTA as a 1963 Herald 1200. The roof anyway looks chunkier than a true Coupe roof (the other car photographed above looks considerably more delicate) which is why I was guessing aftermarket hard top.

It looks "Intersting" to say the least, IF it is as solid as stated It may just go the distance?. I`m currently looking at 2, 13/60 convertables. With an eye to running one whilst the "long term kit of parts" get`s finished. I need to be driving something rather that trying to find the time to complete it. One problem is the Both are over 250miles away.

3 hours ago, Colin Lindsay said:

"A lesser spec Triumph Estate very recently sold for £15250 on another online auction site."

I'm sure it did. One also sold recently for about £4000; two on eBay at present for £6,000 and £13,000. All depends on what you want.

Read the words, "Triumph Vitesse 2.5PI Manual o/d 125Bhp Herald Estate Custom".  It's not a Park Lane Vitesse ( only 20 were) any more than Silverback was, so comparisons are ridiculous.
