Punch set, numbers and letters?

Hi all,

Just thinking about re doing the body numbers etc on new plates, what would be the correct size punch set to get?

or doesn't it really matter?

I recommend you use a piece of straight bar or better still angle to use as a support for the stamps so they are straight.
And of course practice on some scrap till you are happy

Actually my original plate is all over the place, nothing is lined up! but it's a good tip, cheers.

It also helps to practice depth ie force of punch, as you think it needs a good whack with a hammer then you distort the entire plate...
