Colin Lindsay Posted November 17, 2017 Report Share Posted November 17, 2017 I may use the Castrol as an interim oil to keep the Herald engines oily while they're idle during restorations, on the other hand it might just go on Gumtree. The GT6 gets the correct oil when it actually runs... the engine rebuild cost me too much to want to repeat the experience due to poor choice of oil. I've just had a reply from Wilkinsons to my enquiry regarding the tech. spec. of their own-brand classic oil. The level of ZDDP in it is 800ppm, or 0.08%.
