Custommy
Hi there , just joined this club as im considering buying a gt6 to restore. my dad had a 1970 gt6 in damson that i have always loved looking at pictures of. But sadly never got to see it in the flesh. I was wondering if any of you would know of this car or if there is a way of tracking it down? The numberplate is BYE 199H he always used to say people commented on the plate i bet it looked great when overtaking someone! Im sure i will have plenty of questions for you all i will try and use a search before hand as i know from other forums how annoying it is when people ask basic things over and over. Hope you can help me. Tom
Adrian Cooper
Hi Tom, Welcome to the forum, you will find this a friendly and informative place. I had a look on the DVLA website and you dad's GT6 hasn't been taxed since 1984 and that is probably a bad sign for its survival. Good luck with finding a car to restore. Custommy
I did a dvla search and i got the same thing back about the tax in 1984. How does it work with tax exempt vehicles? Im hoping its in a barn somewhere and not in car heaven!
Anglefire
Tax exempt vehicles still need to be taxed, they are just at nil rate.
