We replaced everything and it still had the problem So he bought a new electronic ignition as that was the only thing not changed, part way through stripping the dizzy we found the earth wire was broken...... It did'nt look broken untill it was moved... so it was making and breaking contact. New wire fitted, problem gone It's very easy to miss. Tony. Pete Lewis Posted August 20, 2018 Report Share Posted August 20, 2018 This little braided cotton covered wire is a master at looking ok but inside its broken Its been a misfire or wont start factor for many years on some the wire is fixed to the base plate nothing stopping you making up a replacement , best if its silicon sleeved As this remains flexible and doesnt get cooked by the heat always keep a loop to allow the movement of the vac unit rotating the base plate Pete Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
