Colin Lindsay
11 hours ago, fungus said: Is there anybody there? Sorry - must have missed this post! Do you have a local upholsterer? They often work in vinyl or the like, and might be able to advise on the best replacement. You could enquire of this lot: http://www.classicmotorcarpets.co.uk/Pages/Headlining Kit Page.html You've already found Martrim. https://www.martrim.co.uk/car-trimming-supplies/pvc-headlining.php This lot seem to be more cloth than vinyl: https://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/categories/vintage-car-parts-upholstery-and-trimmings-headlining Try a search for just 'headliner' or 'headlining' on eBay, there are quite a few companies and one of them may have the material you need: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Perforated-Headliner-Fabric-Car-Headlining-interior-decor-seating-4-COLOURS/302237742356?hash=item465ec5f514:m:mhy_b3Zlu-NwGVVTiULq1fw The plastic / vinyl used on Minis seems quite close too, but a lot of the cars from that era used the same kind of material. You may find the same pattern listed under another marque of car.

PeteH
I note your location as South Somerset?. Have you thought of Thornfalcon Garage?, just outside Taunton?. Junc, 358/378. They (used) to specialise in Classics, and did some restorations (In the 90`s). P.s. Back then there was a guy in Yeovil. Who restored American stuff. I had parts off him, for my Chevy; based Camper.? Pete.

fungus
Guest what I found today tucked away nice and safe in a box in the attic rooms. a Herald coupe headlining that I bought from John kippling back on 23/08/94 and it cost £41 but it is the longhorn type, not the right one for my coupe, so I'll have to use it as a template for the right matirial when it arrives just goes to show. put stuff away safe and sound and you will find it one day. maybe not when you want it but you will find it,,, one day 😁

Wonder what the headlining is worth today?
fungus
I did see one on flebay £125, I think it was newton commercials end of line sort of thing as I don't see them listed in their cataloge. but there hasn't been any listed for a while now. but I would think they would have the patern so could make one up if needed. thescrapman
Chic Doig lists them. I I think worth selling yours to someone who doesn't mind the wrong pattern and buy a new one from Chic?
