trigolf
Hi, Polite request - is it possible for Administrators, or even forum members who post them, to be able to delete expired 'Wanted' ads. I've just had Angie Hill reply to confirm that a member no longer requires said items. It seems to me that it's a waste of time to reply through the Club HQ to a 'wanted' ad if it's no longer valid. I wonder how many other ads or 'wants' on the site are no longer valid ? Gav
KevinR
Gav, it’s not something I can do as Forum administrator as the classifieds are hosted on the main Club website and not the Forum. I don’t even know if one can delete one’s own adverts as I’ve never posted one there. Sadly I suspect it is something only the Club management can do. Pete Lewis
i believe it is up to the member to ask HQ for adverts to be taken down . and due to print run lead times it can take a time for courier adverts to .............disappear. Colin Lindsay
The original poster should add a note to the header - by editing the first post - to show that the part has been located, or no longer required. I don't think anyone else can do it for them.
Pete Lewis
yes Colins on the ball , if its on this forum as a wanted or anything else the orig poster can edit or delete the post from the quote .... edit...and other options at the bottom of the posting.
