its only later type 16  or 16pb on GT6 that can become metric or imperial  threaded fittings 

type 12  (1600) and  type 14 herald /spitfire  are  all imperial  unless

Type 12 has only 2 bolts holding the 2 Half's of the calipers together. 14 and 16 use 4.

Not managed to see 16 on type 16 calipers. As to the 3 types, metric has s smaller pad pin  but can't remember the size, the 2 imperials use different seals.

The location of the identifier in Colin's post would be hidden under the dust plate in your second photo. However, Colin's was a 16P whereas I think what you have there are type 14. The vertical links are the shape I would expect type 14 calipers on.
