What are these screw holes for ?

Hi Vitesse mk2 saloon . 2 screw holes about an inch apart by the drivers visor just below the headlining . same holes on the passenger visor

They look to be in the same place as clamps for a soft top would be.

there is actually a third apprx 1" to the left again

It's the two to the left I was referring to; I'm assuming that the one to the right with the shiny metal where the paint has been removed is where the black surround you can see to the right has been screwed off from.

Yes Colin you are correct . I have used the top screw hole to retain . I should have used the “shiny “ one. This is confirmed by the white patch which is visible on the bracket . The holes on this bracket don’t line up . On the passenger side there is only 1 hole drilled instead of 3

Would normally be covered by the headlining which should run under the screen seal on a saloon so holes would never be seen
