Robin
Hi All I need to remove the rear valance on my Vitesse - is there a way of doing this without removing the fuel tank? Thanks Robin
Colin Lindsay
The long bolt for the rear overrider is behind the tank; if you can get at the head with a spanner then you can pull the overrider out as it unscrews so that the bolt itself doesn't need to move. Once it's off, all the other bolts should be easily accessible.
johny
yes think the tank only has to be removed if youre taking off that side quarter valance but not for the centre one....

PeteH
Looking Here:- It would look as if once the overriders are off it`s just a question of (rusty) screws?. Getting at the bolt (21 / 22) 7/16AF? behind the tank will be the awkward bit?. BTW IF it turns out to be 1/2AF?. What I have are the open reversible ratchet spanners with an articulated head. 14mm if I am right is an almost dead ringer?. Lots of Plus Gas, Or similar and let it soak. (light oil and diesel or paraffin works too).
