That's a pity, may have been worth considering the Dunlop Street Response 2 tyres in 175/70/13 format - I use these on the Vitesse (165/70/13) and have to say, I cannot rate them high enough in dry + wet conditions.

Contis are on the car, replacing the tyres that were made in 1996 and 2008 respectively!!!

I couldn’t believe it when I saw that not one but two previous owners drove the car with severely expired rubber. Egad!

On the plus side, the tyres as excellent with a noticeable difference to rolling resistance, perceived by how much earlier I take my foot off the throttle to coast to a stop.

That was posted on another thread recently. There are several reasons to suspect the video is not entirely honest. It's a good justification for not fitting the cheapest possible remoulds to a powerful car but how much it says about real world "budget" brands is open for significant debate.
